Our wearable artists and models worked very hard during Art Club to create a remarkable lunchtime parade on Tuesday 13 October. The Lingo Lin Performing Arts Theatre was ablaze with lights, smoke and bubbles, and the music was up loud. Exploring the concept, ‘Growth’ every artist managed to create an original and beautifully crafted wearable artwork. It was very challenging for our Old Collegians (Sophie Howlett and Isabella Thaesler) to judge the winners. However, the winners of the 2020 Wearable Art Parade are:
Amity Logan - The Walsh (perpetual trophy sponsored by Mr and Mrs Walsh)
Senior section:
First – Amity Logan
Second – Cara Orendain, Justine Friedman and Nikita Gomez (modelled by Cara Orendain)
Third – Jaymee Vo (modelled by Ava Bampton)
Encouragement Awards – Charlotte Lane, Lily Veenboer, Molly Lou, Hayley Roger and Addie Zheng (model)
Middle School section:
First – Rachel Murray and Chloe Richter (Modelled by Rachel Murray)
Second – Bridie Drvodelic
Third – Alessandra Delgado- Piercy and Chelsea Baumber (modelled by Chelsea Baumber)
Encouragement Award – Phoebe Milne
I thank all the staff and students who worked together to create such an exciting event. It is pleasing to know that although COVID-19 put a stop to the Art Show, we still managed to enjoy a favourite highlight of life at Ormiston College.
