Wildly imaginative children’s author Tim Harris visited OC to work with our Year 5s and develop their story writing prowess. Previously a primary school teacher, Tim has a real understanding of how to encourage student creativity and blend action, description and dialogue to write more interesting stories.
Entertaining the students with a dramatic reading from his hilarious books ‘Mr Bambuckle’s Remarkables’ and ‘Toffle Towers’, Tim demonstrated the power of reading and how reading makes us better writers and thinkers too. The students were entertained, inspired and developed some great story ideas.
