In Term 4, a group of keen Senior Geography students were invited by She Maps to attend the Queensland Geospatial Conference, presented by the Geospatial Council of Australia.
In the She Maps Spatial Discovery Session, the students spent hours exploring drone technology applications, learning about safety and regulations, and even gaining hands-on experience flying and coding educational microdrones.
During the conference, they also spent time visiting the exhibition where they witnessed the latest advancements in geospatial technology and networked with industry experts.
This opportunity to network and explore potential pathways in the field proved to be invaluable, with several of our students seizing the potential for internship prospects with major geospatial players.
