The Somerset Storyfest is an annual literary event held in March which celebrates emerging writers and provides exciting literary experiences for readers and writers alike.
Selected Ormiston College students travelled to the Gold Coast to attend this festival of storytelling where they were given opportunity to listen to and meet with some of Australia’s most loved authors and illustrators, Bruce Whatley and Andrew Daddo, as well as exciting up-and-coming authors Tim Cope, Remy Lai and Lili Wilkinson.
One student was even lucky enough to be selected from the audience to have a portrait drawn and signed by Remy Lai – a special keepsake from the day as well as a lifetime of inspiration to find the stories that are all around us, every day.
