In a remarkable display of athletic ability and school spirit, Ormiston College has emerged victorious in three Bayside District sporting events: swimming, cross country, and track and field. This outstanding achievement underscores the commitment and talent of students at Ormiston College.
Earlier this year, the College’s swimmers showcased their exceptional skills in the pool at the Swimming (13-19 years) competition, securing first place overall while breaking several records along the way.
In the Cross Country Secondary School event in May, Ormiston College athletes delivered an equally impressive performance winning five of the ten age group categories and earning the title of champion Secondary School for the Bayside District.
The success continued at the recent Track and Field Carnival (13-19 Years), where the team’s exceptional all-round performance secured the championship victory by 114 points.
Ormiston College Headmaster, Brett Webster, expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments, stating, “This is an outstanding achievement for our school and a testament to the hard work and commitment of our athletes, coaches, and staff. Winning all three events is a remarkable feat that highlights the dedication and aptitude of our students.”
The Bayside District sporting competition provides development opportunities for school-aged athletes across the region. All students who participated in the 2024 program should be proud of their achievements.
