Ormiston College has once again demonstrated its exceptional geographical knowledge in the 2024 Australian Geography Competition. Our students secured an impressive second place in Queensland, narrowly missing the top spot by just 0.6%.
Over the past few years, Ormiston College has consistently placed among the top schools in Queensland and the country. This year, we proudly maintained our position as runners-up in Queensland and once more secured a spot in the top 10 nationally.
“Over 54,000 students from 600 schools entered the competition in 2024 and to find us nationally ranked in the top 10 yet again is an outstanding effort” remarked Ian Burgess, Head of Humanities. "I am very proud of these results which provide an external benchmark on our students performance in certain aspects of Geography,” he added.
