The Ormiston College Co-curricular Music ensembles showcased their talent at the Redlands Eisteddfod which was held at the College during Term 3. This event provided our students with the opportunity to play in a competitive setting and witness the performances of high-quality ensembles from the community. These experiences will help fuel personal and ensemble growth in our musicians as they seek to pursue higher-level repertoire and the quality of playing that goes with it.
The event featured a wide variety of categories, including string, choral, band and percussion sections. Our students excelled across the board and produced the following exceptional results:
- First Place - Sonata Strings, Scherzo Strings, Singers, Bellas, Wind Ensemble and Vibrato Guitars
- Second Place - Subito Strings, Symphony Strings, Kinders, Voices, Chorale, Redbacks, Wind Orchestra, Tremolo Guitars and Jazz Band
- Third Place - Wind Symphony, Beginner Band, Percussion Ensemble, Stage Band and Big Band
These achievements reflect the hard work and dedication of our talented young musicians. Congratulations to all the students, Ensemble Directors, accompanists and Music Tuition Specialists on these excellent results.
