After being postponed due to weather conditions in Term 1, the day finally dawned with bright, sunny skies for the inaugural Prep to Year 12 Colour Fun Run. The event, organised by the P&F Association, brought together students, staff and families for the most colourful day of the year.
The air buzzed with anticipation as students gathered at the start line in crisp, white t-shirts. As the starting signal was heard, eager students flooded the course, where staff and volunteers stood armed and ready with coloured powder and water guns, leaving participants covered in an explosion of colour as they crossed the finish line. The course included obstacles, inflatables, slime, water, and lots of laughter. A definite highlight was the foam pit, where shrieks of delight were heard as students ran through billowing clouds of foam, emerging with grins plastered across their faces. Throughout the day, the spirit of mateship was evident, but not more so than when the senior students supported the younger students around the course.
After the whirlwind of colour had settled, the most anticipated moment came as Mr Webster courageously stepped forward to be slimed by the fundraising champions. Cheers erupted as buckets of gooey slime cascaded down over the Headmaster, much to the delight of the enthralled crowd.
