The Ormiston College Cricket teams took to the field on Saturday 22 February for the annual Pink Stumps Day. This special event raises funds for the McGrath Foundation to support McGrath Cancer Care Nurses, allowing them to continue their vital work in the community.
The event saw players and supporters don pink gear, with the iconic pink stumps taking centre stage on the field. The Ormiston College Cricket teams played a series of spirited matches against Cannon Hill Anglican College, our opponents for this round, winning all three matches played at home.
Beyond the field, the Cricketers and College community rallied together to raise funds through donations and cupcake sales, with all proceeds going towards the funding of McGrath Cancer Care Nurses across Australia.
We are pleased to announce that over $1,700 was raised for the McGrath Foundation and would like to thank everyone who donated and supported Pink Stumps Day. These funds will go towards helping to ensure that individuals and families experiencing cancer have access to invaluable support and care.
