Ormiston College’s Centre for Learning and Innovation has been announced as the Winner of the 2021 Australian Library and Information Association’s Library Design Award – School Libraries.
Since opening in 2019, the CLI has provided a flexible and futuristic space for all students to connect, collaborate, learn and innovate.
The CLI is home to Australia’s largest interactive floorspace and Australia’s first holographic wearable computer, as well as 3D printers, programmable drones, writeable glass, a green screen studio, and more.
Headmaster Brett Webster says, “Our students will be ready to step into any university or workplace with confidence, having experienced the benefits of learning in an interactive space that is truly reflective of society’s modern, divergent, flexible and dynamic thinking”.
Australian Library Design Awards CEO Sue McKerracher described the CLI as a library designed to encourage and inspire students to learn.
