During the final assembly of Semester 1, the Junior School presented Academic Growth Awards in recognition of the remarkable academic growth shown by particular students during the period. Their hard work has led to significant progress in Mathematics and/or English and the College celebrated the dedication they have shown towards their learning.
Teachers and leaders at Ormiston College recognise that learning is not only about reaching a specific destination; it’s about the journey, progress, effort and determination involved in getting there. Each year students in the Junior School embark on their own unique learning journey, overcoming challenges, and making strides forward. Each comes from a different starting point.
The Academic Growth Awards are designed to celebrate that individual journey through:
- Recognising the progress students have made in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Focusing on individual growth. Every journey is different, each starting point is different, and these certificates acknowledge the students’ personal achievements.
- The value of hard work, resilience, and determination. These awards highlight the effort students have shown every day and is designed to celebrate their dedication and commitment to learning.
Congratulations to all students who received awards.
