An opportunity to compete
Through the College sport program, students learn the value of competition and achievement. The College considers sport an essential part of a well-rounded education.
Participation in a sporting team fosters and promotes important life skills: winning and losing, being part of a team, challenge and achievement, school spirit and, moreover, fair play. The College is a proud member of the The Associated Schools (TAS), Queensland’s premier co-educational inter-school sporting competition.
Secondary School Sport
Ormiston College is proud to be one of eight independent schools that compete in The Associated Schools (TAS) Competition. The competition is divided into trimesters, each of nine weeks duration, with matches being played on Saturday mornings. The objective of the TAS competition is the promotion and conduct of various forms of interschool activities with a view to fostering a spirit of fellowship, sound educational practice and mutual support and assistance among its member schools.
