Spark passion outside the classroom.
While strong academic performance is important, we believe an individual’s social skills and self-confidence are just as vital for success. As your child progresses through our college, an incredibly diverse and challenging range of co-curricular activities open up to them and we encourage students to take part in as many courses, cultural activities and sporting pursuits as possible.
Beyond the structured learning curriculum, our students can experience music, drama, debating, leadership programs and an extensive list of individual performance and team activities including aerobics, dance, The Duke of Edinburgh Award, chess and a whole range of clubs and societies.
A symphony of sparks
Students are encouraged to participate in unforgettable performance opportunities with all levels of ability and talent nurtured through our extensive Arts offerings. The Ormiston College Lingo Lin Performing Arts Theatre provides a world-class venue for the many concerts and recitals held each year by the students and community. The fully air-conditioned theatre holds a 700 seat auditorium, 13 x 9m stage, scenery hoist providing for four scene changes, up-to-date staging technology, professional stage lighting and sound systems, dressing rooms, drama studio and individual music rooms.
Adventure, excursions, camps and tours
Nepal, Greece, the ski slopes of Australia - critical learning doesn’t only happen on campus. Tours, camps and excursions are an important way of broadening your child's educational experiences. Junior School excursions are based around the year level curriculum and are directly related to lessons being conducted. In Years 7 to 9 events are organised that directly assist in social growth and development, and in Year 11 we focus on leadership in preparation for the role students will undertake in Year 12. Wherever our students find themselves, we guarantee they will come back with stories to tell and experiences they will never forget.
